About Me

As you can guess, my name is Mike Hardisty and I seriously started photography about 2004 when I bought my first digital camera.

Nowadays I live in a North Wales coastal town, with miles of sandy beaches. Not too far away is an old abandoned lighthouse, that often features in my photographs. Yes the lighthouse does lean.

Built in 1776, the lighthouse fell into disuse and was decommissioned in 1884

I’m lucky to have the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in my backyard and that’s where I mainly go for my photography. Combining these two I suppose you could say I’m primarily a landscape photographer.

But that’s not all I photograph. I’ve always had a fascination with old churches and in the nearby Conwy Valley there are lots of them, including one considered to be the remotest church in Wales.

Llangelynin Church
The old church stands in a remote spot in the foothills of Snowdonia’s Carneddau mountains.

That’s about it. If you would like to see more of my photographs then you know what to do, Click the follow link below.
